Sanchi Stupas & Udaygiri Caves Day Trip From Bhopal

Embark on a captivating day trip from Bhopal to explore the historical wonders of Sanchi and Udaygiri. Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Bhopal, leading to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sanchi, situated on a serene hill. Marvel at the group of stupas, monasteries, temples, and pillars dating from the 3rd BCE to the 12th CE, with the iconic Sanchi Stupa housing the relics of Buddha and his followers. Built by Emperor Ashoka, it stands as a remarkable testament to Buddhist art and architecture. Sanchi uniquely represents Buddha through symbols rather than figures. Next, venture to the Udayagiri Caves, an early Hindu ritual site extensively carved and reworked during the Gupta Empire. Witness rock-shelters, petroglyphs, ruins, and inscriptions that offer a glimpse into ancient history. After a day filled with exploration, return to Bhopal and conclude your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
